CHERRY MOBILE, the newest player in the mobile communications industry, recently introduced the first dual SIM clamshell mobile phone in the country.
The new device, the C50 Curve, builds on Cherry Mobile’s advanced dual SIM technology.
The C50 Curve is a multimedia phone that features a built-in 1.3 megapixel compatible camera, mp3 and video player, FM radio capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a micro SD card slot expandable up to 2 gigabytes, and an LED indicator that alerts users of incoming messages and calls, even when the phone is on silent mode.
The dual SIM capabilities, meanwhile , address the growing need among consumers for multi-network mobile communications.
Today, many cellular phone users have subscriptions from multiple different service providers, often maintaining separate lines for personal and work use.
"We are very excited about the new C50 Curve," said Agnes Conopio, Cherry Mobile’s head of marketing. "Aside from being the country’s first dual SIM clamshell, it has all the features Filipinos expect from a multimedia mobile phone… at a price affordable to all mobile phone users in the country."
The unit has a suggested retail price of P4,990.
